This blog is a journal of custom furniture commissions - checkout behind the scenes videos and before and after photos from around the sawmill and woodshop, as I share my process of transforming reclaimed fallen trees into heirloom tables.
These are custom table orders that range from personal furniture for homeowners like dining tables, coffee tables, headboards. Other projects have been for commercial and hospitality spaces to provide wood slab countertops, community tables, and custom desks and conference tables that leave a lasting impression and warm welcoming vibe.

3x9ft Walnut Live Edge Dining Table
A local interior designer and her client came by my wood shop recently to pickout their favorite slab. They initially came to see one of the Maple slabs in my collection but ultimately chose this reclaimed Black Walnut from Oregon because of its smooth natural edges.

72" Round English Walnut & Smoke Epoxy Table
A couple came to visit my shop to pickout their favorite Walnut wood slabs for a 72" round table top. They selected 2 English Walnut slabs which will be cut and composed into a 2 part resin form and smoke translucent resin poured in the voids.

Walnut 44x88 Rectangular Dining Table
I've been commissioned to create a rectangular 44x88" dining table from a pair of extra thick wide plank bookmatched black walnut slabs. This table top will be over 2.5" thick when finished and no live edges on this one! The table top will be getting brushed gold metal legs.

New Maple Burl Round Live Edge Cookies 40-60"
Latest arrival of incredible exhibition AA Grade Maple burl slabs that came in the latest shipment from Oregon along with the new 9-12ft Walnut Live Edge slabs. All of the slabs were cut at 3" thick. There are 6 slabs that are 60" diameter, 1 at 48", 1 at 40", 1 at 32", and the extra thick burl cap. These pieces will be air drying through the hot Phoenix summer and go into a vacuum kiln early Fall.

Reclaimed Urban Black Acacia Epoxy River Coffee Table+C Tables
A client from Tucson has commissioned a coffee table and 2 matching C-table tops and has also asked me to provide 2 new steel bases for an end table and console they already had. Last year I created 2 show pieces that are the focal point of their dining room and home office there in Catalina Hills area. Their home is quite spectacular including an elevator, zero edge pool and living areas that overlook the city through the mountains.

Modern Rustic Red Gum Live Edge Dining Table & Bench for Arborist
One of the arborists that supplies local sawmills with reclaimed urban forest logs has commissioned me to create a custom dining table and bench. He provided slabs from a local Red Gum Eucalyptus tree along with the steel pedestal base and bench legs. I took the largest and thickest bookmatched pair of slabs to create the dining table, and one of the smaller slabs was trimmed to a wide plank design for the bench. All cracks and voids were filled with a black shimmer resin.

AZ Walnut Burl 36x56 Kitchen Table+3ft round live edge coffee table
A repeat client has hired me to create two new table for his home, crafted from AZ Walnut Burl wood slabs. There will be a 36x56 kitchen table featuring scattered chunks of clear selenite & white snow quartz geode in vibrant oceanic epoxy art. The 2nd table will be a 34" diameter round live edge coffee table featuring green fluorite that will be backlit with 24V LED lighting which will make the mineral rock glow.
