This blog is a journal of custom furniture commissions - checkout behind the scenes videos and before and after photos from around the sawmill and woodshop, as I share my process of transforming reclaimed fallen trees into heirloom tables.
These are custom table orders that range from personal furniture for homeowners like dining tables, coffee tables, headboards. Other projects have been for commercial and hospitality spaces to provide wood slab countertops, community tables, and custom desks and conference tables that leave a lasting impression and warm welcoming vibe.

4ft Round Walnut Burl+Epoxy Kitchen Table
I was recently contacted by a past client to created a 4ft diameter round kitchen table top. They selected a 55" round walnut burl that was cut to a perfect 49" circular shape and cast in smoke epoxy. This table top is to be mounted on an existing pedestal base from a previous table I created for them, which I provided a new coffee table base for in a twisted steel pedestal design. 72" Round English Walnut & Smoke Epoxy Table
A couple came to visit my shop to pickout their favorite Walnut wood slabs for a 72" round table top. They selected 2 English Walnut slabs which will be cut and composed into a 2 part resin form and smoke translucent resin poured in the voids.

New Maple Burl Round Live Edge Cookies 40-60"
Latest arrival of incredible exhibition AA Grade Maple burl slabs that came in the latest shipment from Oregon along with the new 9-12ft Walnut Live Edge slabs. All of the slabs were cut at 3" thick. There are 6 slabs that are 60" diameter, 1 at 48", 1 at 40", 1 at 32", and the extra thick burl cap. These pieces will be air drying through the hot Phoenix summer and go into a vacuum kiln early Fall.

AZ Walnut Burl 36x56 Kitchen Table+3ft round live edge coffee table
A repeat client has hired me to create two new table for his home, crafted from AZ Walnut Burl wood slabs. There will be a 36x56 kitchen table featuring scattered chunks of clear selenite & white snow quartz geode in vibrant oceanic epoxy art. The 2nd table will be a 34" diameter round live edge coffee table featuring green fluorite that will be backlit with 24V LED lighting which will make the mineral rock glow. The customer is providing black pedestal bases for each table.

60" Round Live Edge Mappa Burl kitchen table
I've been commissioned to create a custom round live edge kitchen table from a light colored wood. The client chose this large bright blonde Mappa burl round live edge slab which will be soaked in resin to harden the soft top grain, and voids will be filled with clear resin and the tabletop will be supported by a pillar pedestal base.

4ft AZ Walnut burl round coffee table, Live Edge Shelves for Client at Sereno Canyon
My repeat clients near Rio Verde that I created a 60x90 Mesquite river dining table for and Manzanita burl root cluster cocktail table for last year have commissioned a series of shelves and fold down tables made from Acacia and Red Gum Eucalyptus along with a 48" natural round wood coffee table created from my last large AZ Walnut burlwood slab reclaimed from the high desert.

Mesquite Hightop tables for Bear and the Honey Bakery
I've been commissioned to create a set of 6 natural live edge round table tops for Bear and the Honey's new bakery in Phoenix opening January 2024. I found a stack of local reclaimed Chocolate Mesquite end grain live edge round slabs to function as small high top tables. The large voids in the 2 biggest slabs were filled with pieces of selenite, white quartz, and pyrite and clear resin to match their branding.

67" Walnut Burl Poker Table + Olive Slice End Table
We've been commissioned to build a 67" Poker table from a set of special Walnut burl pieces that will be cast in a deep oceanic flow resin art. Ebonized Maple Burl 58" Round River Dining Table
