Our friend Stephanie just got a new place of her own in a hip mod remodel block in Central Phoenix and she has commissioned us to build an inspiring coffee table.

After playing with some new pigment-infused oils from Odie's Oil we decided it was time to move to a larger canvas and once we found this slab we knew it was the perfect candidate. We have come to call this our reverse-ebonized coffee table. We have resin filled all cracks and knots with black resin for extreme contrast. The top has been colorized and finished with a titanium white pigment oil/hard wax blend that seals the woodgrain. We have inlayed a smoke lucite panel leg into the end grain and flush mounted canted smoke lucite legs which are inlayed flush into the underside of the slab.
