We were extremely lucky to find these incredible slabs of Alligator Juniper from the high desert here in Arizona. This tree was charred in the Dude fire just outside of Payson in 1990 and died standing until found recently and reclaimed by a local sawyer. The damage from the fire created a wild charred bark nook out of the log which form a natural hole through the pair of joined slabs.
