We've recently been commission by the Center for Biomimicry at ASU to build a river-style conference table using two bookmatched slabs of Silky Oak, storm-fallen urban lumber reclaimed by Wine Glass Bar Saw Mill in Tempe, Arizona. This table will be getting a steel base/frame with a handcut clear glass inlay down the center. #rivertable #sillyoak #conferencetableliveedge #asu #biomimicry
We've recently been commissioned to build a 40x82" dining table using a bookmatched pair of Pacific Coast Figured Maple live edge slabs that will be ebonized with glass inlay and attached to the cantilever style frame. This project was designed in collaboration with designer Jeanne Callahan. All rendering were provided by Engstrom Design. #liveedgerivertable #rivertable #ebonizedmaple #diningtable #customfurniture #phoenixfurnituremaker
We've been inspired by all the wild resin art that is becoming popular and while we love doing glass inlay for river coffee tables and live edge river dining tables - this application of resin we feel is more practical and unique especially combine with the metallic pigments from Black Diamond. We started with a blend of their diamond copper and diamond bronze pigments and over 4 separate pours we faded up to clear for added depth and clarity. #rivertable #resinriver #liveedg
We've started work on transforming these reclaimed urban lumber bookmatched Sissoo Indian Rosewood slabs into a dinette with glass inlay. Rosewood has such vibrant woodgrain we decided to go all out with color pop on this piece with trending color pallets with a candy teal mid mod steel base and matching azurite glass inlays. We were recently commissioned to build an heirloom quality dining table for a local family using two reclaimed Mesquite slabs. They are approximately 26x96x2.25 and will give us a finished table size of 5ftx7.4ft when combined with a handcut piece of smoked glass. Our welder has started work on the X-Frame base that will end up getting a smoked chrome powdercoat finish and supporting the massive slabs. #rivertable #mesquite #liveedgediningtable #glassinlay #modernrustic

We started on this Western Red Cedar River Table project this week. This slab is over 1000 yrs old and had a lot of bore beetle damage that had to be stabilized. We filled all voids with System 3 slow cure resin. It took almost 1/2 gallon of resin in over 10 stages to completely fill all voids. #westernredcedar #liveedgerivertable #diningtable #woodslabtable #glassinlay #rivertable #liveedgediningtable
This post will take you through our process of creating a large river style dining table and bench that we've been commissioned to build. We started with 3 reclaimed urban lumber silky oak live edge slabs from Wine Glass Bar Saw Mill here in Phoenix. All slabs were planed and drum sanded thickness matched before using the Festool TS75 track saw to cut off the outside edges and the DeWalt compact plunge router to cut the glass channels. We created a glass template and had a 1
