We recently secured two giant slabs of local grown reclaimed urban Red Gum Eucalyptus with full burled edges for a custom dining table build for the same customers we are building the burl coffee table for. We will be cutting these into a large round dining table with a resin river flowing through the center. We've recently been commissioned to build a 40x82" dining table using a bookmatched pair of Pacific Coast Figured Maple live edge slabs that will be ebonized with glass inlay and attached to the cantilever style frame. We recently started work on the bookmatch to the first large pistachio we started processing in our post from a couple weeks back about finishing pistachio slabs for a local saw mill. We started on this Western Red Cedar River Table project this week. This slab is over 1000 yrs old and had a lot of bore beetle damage that had to be stabilized. We filled all voids with System 3 slow cure resin.
