The Muir woods is one of my favorite forests that I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. This was my 4th visit to the ancient Redwood forest just outside San Francisco. My first trip was when I was about 10 years old and it left a lasting impression. These are some images I captured that I thought put the amazing collaborative and resilient ecosystem on-display. Mushrooms growing from the ends of wind fallen trees, burl growths over 60 ft above the ground, moss covered fallen trees. This visit was during a wet season of regrowth.
